Beheader is not a limiter. Where a limiter pulls the entire signal back to avoid a ceiling, Beheader cuts only what exceeds it leaving the body, energy, and dynamics of your sound completely intact. The result is harder, louder, and more present, without the gain-pumping or transient smearing that limiting inevitably introduces.

SHAPE YOUR CLIP, DEFINE YOUR TONE

The variable *Slope* control lets you glide seamlessly between warm, analog-style soft clipping and ruthless, digital hard clipping. Soft clipping rounds the waveform gently, introducing harmonics that sit naturally in the mix. Hard clipping severs the peak with mathematical precision, zero mercy, maximum density.

Tame the unruly, unleash the aggressive. Eliminate rogue peaks on a drum bus without touching the transient punch beneath them. Push a mix bus harder than any limiter would allow. Clip the loudest vocal peaks by just 1–2 dB before compression, so the compressor reacts more smoothly instead of overworking. Or use the saturation curve deliberately, as a tone-shaping tool, not just a peak management one.

BUILT TO STAY CLEAN

Beheader’s selectable *2x*, *4x*, and *8x* oversampling runs the clipping stage at a higher internal sample rate, then filters it back down to your session rate. This greatly reduces aliasing artifacts under heavy drive, helping transients stay focused and highs remain clean without the brittle edge common to hard-driven clippers.
